HOW WE OBTAINED THIS VEHICLE

This beauty is a 1957 Ford Club Crown 4-door hardtop with a factory 292cid V8 engine to honor the original design.

Mojo Rod and Custom obtained this vehicle through a local estate sale. It is a one-owner gem! Even though the engine was locked up and the vehicle had been in storage for several years, it was in great condition. No alterations had been made to the original vehicle design, which was very appealing to us at Mojo.

THE RESTORATION

This was a complete frame-off restoration. The engine was completely overhauled and topped with a new Holley two-barrel carburetor. The frame was stripped, detailed and painted. All wear components within the suspension were replaced and the brake system was meticulously gone over! The differential and transmission were cleaned, serviced and painted then reinstalled along with the new engine and clutch assembly. The body was then placed on a rotisserie; stripped and prepared for painting. The yellow color used on the vehicle is the original factory color, while the off-white was chosen in favor of the original metallic brown, and we believe this is what really makes the car stand out! After the entire vehicle was reassembled, it was time to address the interior which turned out absolutely gorgeous as you can see in the pictures available! We wanted to update the interior slightly while maintaining the original design which we believe worked out perfectly and screams “ classic car.”

 

THE DETAILS

Original 292cid V8 engine, three-speed overdrive transmission, differential, suspension and brakes were all maintained. Our goal was to maintain the original look and feel throughout the build of this beautiful classic car. The manufacturer’s original design on this unit did not include air conditioning and was not altered to be included. Coker white wall classic tires were used to set off the classic look as a finishing touch.
